Roasting

After coffee beans have been selected and purchased, they are baked in a large piece of equipment called a roaster. Green beans are placed in a hopper that pours them into a turning drum located on the inside of the roaster unit. The roster is pre-heated to around 400 degrees Fehrenheit by gas flames.
